CALS Wellness Committee tip: Sign up for RecWell virtual group fitness classes
Don’t let working from home and COVID disrupt your workout routine! No routine? Well, now is also the perfect time to get one started.
RecWell is offering an array of daily virtual group fitness classes. All classes are held via Zoom and you can work out from the comfort and privacy of your own home. The purchase of a recurring monthly pass is the bargain price of $12/month (with the ability to cancel at any time), and allows you to take any number of virtual classes in the month.
There is a nice variety of classes from yoga and core strength, to more high intensity Grit and HIIT. Some are 30-minute classes to get that quick, yet effective work out in, while others can run up to an hour. The instructors offer modifications to many moves and you are encouraged to take the class at your own pace.
Sign up starts 48 hours before the class and ends one minute before. You’ll receive a Zoom link to join.
Challenge yourself to getting in a couple of classes during the week. Better yet, challenge a friend or group of co-workers to join you virtually for a class and then compare notes afterward. Working out is easier when you know there are others doing it with you, even if it has to be virtually right now. Make it a priority to give yourself a little time during the week to work on you, and take a break from all of the other things that might be going on in your life.
