Promoting voter education on campus

Chancellor Blank has again agreed to participate in the Big Ten Voting Challenge, a competition among universities for the highest student voter turnout and most improved student turnout in the November election. In the 2018 challenge, UW–Madison placed second overall.

The Big Ten Voting Challenge committee, run through the Morgridge Center for Public Service, is chaired by Prof. Kathy Cramer; the staff contact is Associate Director Lisa Chambers. Campus communications are led by University Communications – Mike Klein and Meredith McGlone. Nancy Lynch in the Office of Legal Affairs advises on efforts to make sure they comply with all university policies and laws.

If you are planning activity around voting, please be sure to consult first with these contacts.  Campus entities are also encouraged to promote https://vote.wisc.edu/ as the official resource for voting information.
