Reminder: Dairy Innovation Hub proposal due dates

There are two active requests for proposals for funds from the Dairy Innovation Hub, with deadlines in January and February, respectively:

Requests for capital equipment should increase research capacity on projects related to Hub with the goal of providing key pieces of farm or laboratory capital equipment, or a comparable research resource, that creates novel capacity for high-impact research. Proposals are due January 21, 2020 via WISPR submission and award decisions will be made in April.

Requests for short-term, high-impact research and outreach projects should leverage existing UW–Madison expertise to provide timely products supporting the goals of the Hub, with an emphasis on addressing recommendations generated by the Dairy Task Force 2.0. Proposals are due February 17, 2020 via WISPR submission and award decisions will be made in May.

The hub has four priority focus areas:

  1. Steward Land and Water Resources
  2. Enrich Human Health and Nutrition
  3. Ensure Animal health and Welfare
  4. Grow Farm Businesses and Communities
