Call for proposals: Dairy Innovation Hub seeking applications for capital equipment

The college is accepting proposals for capital equipment to increase research capacity on projects related to the Dairy Innovation Hub. Proposals are due in January with the expectation that funding will be available in the spring semester 2020.

This request for proposals is to provide key pieces of farm or laboratory capital equipment, or a comparable research resource, that creates novel capacity for high-impact research within one of the four priority areas of the Hub:

  1. Steward Land and Water Resources
  2. Enrich Human Health and Nutrition
  3. Ensure Animal health and Welfare
  4. Grow Farm Businesses and Communities

Proposals are due January 21, 2020 via WISPR submission and award decisions will be made in April.

The Dairy Innovation Hub is a $7.8 million per year investment by the State of Wisconsin in UW System agricultural programs to build a world-class talent pool and enable bold discoveries to ensure that Wisconsin’s dairy industry will be at the forefront in producing nutritious dairy products in an economically, environmentally and socially sustainable manner.
