University Academic Planning Council approves closure of the Environmental Resources Center

Effective December 31, 2019, the Environmental Resources Center will formally close as a stand-alone CALS center. The closure of the center was approved by the CALS Academic Planning Council and the University Planning Council in the spring of 2019. The work and staff of the center have been absorbed by the Natural Resources Institute in the Division of Extension. More information on the Natural Resources Institute can be found at:

Established in the late 1960s and approved by the University Academic Planning Council in 1983, the Environmental Resources Center served as a statewide, multi-disciplinary center working at the crossroads of community, natural resources, and agriculture. The center was primarily focused on outreach and Extension activities, providing science-based information and education within the state and beyond.
