CALS Wellness Committee tip: Get outside and enjoy the benefits of nature
Research shows that spending time in nature can improve your health, relationships and wellbeing. In a 2018 study, a group of researchers linked the sense of awe that nature inspired in the study’s participants to their reported wellness benefits. There is still time to get outside and enjoy the awesome fall colors. You don’t need to go far to enjoy the spectacular University of Wisconsin–Madison Arboretum. With 17 miles of trails to choose from, enjoy the woodlands, savannas, prairies, and wetlands of the arboretum before winter sets in. Trails are open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM every day of the week.
