Partners in Giving campaign now underway, with a few changes

Partners in Giving—the State, University, and UW Health Employees combined campaign of Dane County—will run this year, from October 7 to November 29, 2019.  This campaign is in its 46th year and since its inception has raised over $79 million for charitable causes.  We invite you to participate this year in helping more than 500 local, regional, national and international charities provide essential services and support initiatives.

Please note a few important changes to expect this year:

First, when you receive your paper pledge form this year, you’ll notice it no longer is the triplicate form.  To help simplify the campaign and save on costs, the campaign has moved to a single page form.  If you give, you may do so by filling out the form and returning it to your department/unit volunteer or by giving online at

Second, the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences is part of a pilot program this year to reduce the amount of paper booklets printed and handed out as part of the campaign.  Therefore, you will not receive the paper booklet with your pledge form.  You may access the booklet electronically here or if you would like a paper booklet, either to borrow as you complete your donation or to have, please just ask your department/unit volunteer who should be making themselves known to you in the next week or so as they distribute pledge forms.

As CALS has done in the past, those who donate online or submit a paper form will be entered to win incentives given out in our monthly drawings.  There is a variety of nice prizes, including but not limited to gift cards, sporting event tickets, concert tickets and gift bags from campus and area businesses.

Last year CALS employees alone raised over $70,000 for the Partners in Giving campaign, which raised over $2.4 million total.  In fact, we’ve been able to increase our total donations to the campaign every year since 2016, despite having fewer donors each year.  Please consider making a donation to the campaign, as we hope to not only increase our donation dollars but number of participating employees as well.

Thank you for your time and consideration.  If you have any questions, please connect your department/unit volunteer or college chair, Therese McHenry.
