CALS Wellness Committee lunch and learn: Spices and foods that benefit health – Oct. 15

The CALS community is invited to attend a lunch and learn featuring David Kiefer, MD on the topic “Food as Medicine: An overview of spices and foods that can be beneficial to health” from 12-12:30pm on Oct. 15 in room 205 Babcock Hall.

The talk will cover garlic, turmeric, cinnamon, prickly pear cactus, rosemary, sage, and many others. Attendees will learn how these beneficial foods and spices should be consumed, which health conditions benefit from these foods, and some interesting cultural aspects of these foods.
