The next CALS Communicators Group meeting on Tuesday, July 16 from 9 – 10:30 a.m. in Room 2321 DeLuca Biochemical Sciences Building.
Michael P. King, CALS photographer and visual communications specialist, will lead a discussion about how we can best use photos in our publications and on our websites. He will discuss everything from choosing the right photos, to avoiding the potential legal pitfalls of using copyrighted and “creative commons” content. Michael was a photojournalist for 10 years before coming to UW–Madison and currently volunteers as president of the National Press Photographers Association, which engages in professional and legal advocacy related to visual journalism.
