In an effort to help prepare employees for the rollout of new, updated job descriptions, campus is developing micro-learning tools to increase employee understanding of some of the changes to come.
The first of these tools is the Task vs. Responsibility Tool now available on the TTC Website. This tool will help explain the difference between our current, task-oriented descriptions and the new, responsibility-oriented descriptions, and why they appear much shorter than previous versions.
Employees and supervisors will be meeting later this year to review their job descriptions once they have been mapped to the new titles and corresponding job descriptions. Understanding the differences between tasks and responsibilities will be important not only for these meetings and but also in preparation for the July forums.
We strongly encourage you to explore this new tool prior to the July TTC employee forums (see below for dates and times).
