Morgridge Fellows Program seeks applicants for community-engaged teaching and research

The Morgridge Center for Public Service is recruiting up to ten faculty and instructors who have an interest in community-engaged teaching and research to apply for the Morgridge Fellows program. Deadline for application is March 15, 2019.

Fellows are expected to attend monthly 90-minute seminars as a cohort to discuss readings and good practices, work on new course development or add community-based learning to an existing course, plan community-based research projects, or work on other CES activities. The cohort meets from 12-1:30 PM on the second Monday of each month from September to December, and from February to May for 8 meetings in total.

Fellows are required to attend at least 6 of the 8 sessions to be eligible to receive a stipend of $1,500 that can be used for conference attendance, resource materials, or other professional development activities relevant to furthering understanding of CES. Each Fellow will be allowed 2 excused absences for other professional obligations.

They will also have the opportunity to attend a Speaker event featuring a nationally known expert in the CES field, including an exclusive dinner for the Fellows with the speaker.
