D2L data recovery requests ending in January

Since the sunsetting of Desire2Learn (D2L) and Moodle this past June, the Learn@UW-Madison team has been fulfilling emergency data recovery requests on a case-by-case basis. The last day for instructors to submit data recovery requests will be January 31, 2019. Any instructors who need legacy course data from either D2L or Moodle, should submit a recovery request now. Follow the process outlined in Data Retention and Emergency Data Requests for D2L and Regular Moodle CoursesListed below are examples of suitable and legitimate requests for access:

  1. Data needed for a school, college, institute, division or program accreditation process
  2. Coursework records and/or course data needed to respond to a grade challenge from a student
  3. Data needed for campus compliance needs (e.g. HIPAA)
