Andrew Stammer is the new director of the UW Soil and Forage Analysis Lab at Marshfield Agricultural Research Station. Stammer, whose appointment is through the UW-Madison Department of Soil Science and UW-Extension Cooperative Extension, is a certified crop advisor with a strong background in soil and plant analysis.
In his new role, he will serve Wisconsin agriculture by providing farms, agribusinesses and homeowners with high quality soil, forage, manure and plant analyses, and will work with clients on soil fertility and nutrient management issues.
Stammer went to Iowa State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in agronomy and a master’s degree in soil science. He has experience working as an independent crop consultant and managing a soil-testing lab.
