The search committee for the Farm and Industry Short Course (FISC) director position has announced four candidates who have been invited to give public presentations. The CALS community is invited to attend the public presentations of the candidates, which will be held in the Ebling Symposium Center in the Microbial Sciences Building at 11 a.m. on the following dates:

  • Monday, April 2: Melissa Leonard-Flannery, Agriculture Teacher & FFA Advisor, Pecatonica Middle/High School
  • Wednesday, April 4: Nancy Betzold, Management Consultant, Dairy Industry
  • Thursday, April 5: Walter Sedlar, County Conservationist, Adams County Land and Water Conservation Department
  • Friday, April 6: Jennifer Blazek, Assistant Professor, UW Cooperative Extension, Dane County

The candidates have been asked to speak about how the scope and impact of FISC could increase to benefit agriculture. There will be time for questions for those attending following the presentations.
