University Health Services, in collaboration with campus partners, is supporting campus efforts to mitigate food and financial insecurity by providing information and resources to students, faculty, and staff.
Food insecurity is often an invisible issue, and it has the power to undermine academic success, affect mental health and impact health equity. As part of a student-driven push to promote access and resources for students, UHS collaborated with the Student Food & Finance Coalition to create an information hub at uhs.wisc.edu/food.
UHS also compiled a list of additional resources that may be useful to campus community members:
- Coming up empty: Food insecure students face more than just hunger
- Videos featuring campus food insecurity partners
- How to use a food pantry (video)
- Download: Brochure to share with students (hard copies available upon request)
