This year, UWell will be partnering with the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health to host the third annual campus-wide Wellness Symposium on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at Union South.
Dr. Jennifer Edgoose MD, MPH, assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine, will be presenting the keynote. Dr. Edgoose has dedicated her career to inspiring others to understand the needs of diverse individuals, families, and populations. She has been a member of the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Publich Health since 2010. Prior to coming here, Edgoose practiced family medicine for over 10 years in an impoverished area of Tacoma, Washington. The day will be full of opportunities for participants to immerse themselves in multiple dimensions of wellness. The symposium is designed to provide participants with new inspiration, energy, and perspective to elevate habits of wellness. We hope you will join us – and invite your students and colleagues – for a day focused on “Wellness Now: Being Our Best Selves in the Current Moment.” Staff can learn more and register at http://go.wisc.edu/ormma3.
