The CALS Office of Academic Affairs would like to announce a temporary staffing change within the Transitional Advising and Outreach Services (TAOS) unit.
Molly Reinhard, who has been with TAOS since the unit was founded in 2012, has taken a six-month interim position as the Director of the Centers for Pre-Health (CPLA) and Pre-Law Advising. Reinhard is filling in for CPLA director Sherri Charleston, who is on leave to serve as Interim Assistant Vice Provost in the Division of Diversity, Equity and Educational Achievement.
During this six month period, Reinhard’s position within TAOS will be filled by Ruttanatip “Dang” Chonwerawong. Chonwerawong, a UW-Madison alumna, brings a wealth of skills and experience to the role. She has held various professional roles at the university over the past twenty years, including serving as an advisor and director of the Center for Education Opportunity (former known as TRIO) and the Posse Program. She also served as an Assistant Dean for Student Diversity Programs in the School of Education and oversaw the college’s Office of Undergraduate Recruitment and Retention (OURR), College Access Program (CAP), Summer Education Research Program (SERP), Education Graduate Research Scholars (EdGRS), to name a few. Most recently, as the Associate Vice President for Student Academic Support Services at California State University San Marcos, Chonwerawong’s responsibilities included overseeing Undergraduate Academic Advising Services, Career Services, Veteran Center, Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), TRIO SSS, Latin@ Center, ACE–Center for Foster Youths, and College Readiness and Success Services. She received a B.Ed from Chaing Mai University, Thailand; a B.S and M.S from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville; and an M.S and a Ph.D. from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
