Mark your calendar: July 12 WN@tL to honor the centennials of two major CALS discoveries

Save the date for the upcoming Wednesday Nite @ the Lab talk featuring Dave Nelson, emeritus professor of biochemistry and defacto CALS historian, on the topic “The Centennials of the Discoveries at UW of Vitamin B and of the Goiter-Iodine Link.” Nelson’s talk runs 7 – 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12 in room 1111 of the UW Biotechnology Center. During his talk, Nelson will explore the research as well as the people, the personalities and the controversies of the discoveries, and how they shaped the landscape of research in biochemistry and nutrition on this campus and across the country.

WN@tL is free and open to the public. The July 12 talk is a co-production with the Wisconsin Science Museum, a non-profit science museum co-founded by Nelson.
