Registration is now open for the 2017 UW-Madison Teaching and Learning Symposium, to be held Wednesday, May 17 at Union South.
This year’s theme is “Teaching the Wisconsin Experience.” The Wisconsin Experience is UW-Madison’s vision for the total undergraduate student experience, which combines learning in and out of the classroom. For years, many faculty and staff have embodied the Wisconsin Experience in their teaching, and now we continue to build on those traditions with new innovations and efforts.
The event will feature a welcome by Provost Mangelsdorf and a keynote by UW-Madison Psychology Professor Patricia Devine, titled “The Wisconsin Experience: It’s not just for students.” Participants will also have the opportunity to attend a variety of sessions that highlight teaching the Wisconsin Experience through active learning approaches, pedagogical and curricular innovations and high-impact practices.
Please join more than 500 faculty, instructional staff and graduate students as we celebrate another year of teaching and learning excellence. Register now by visiting: tlsymposium.wisc.edu.
