Interested CALS faculty, staff and students are invited to participate in the upcoming conference titled Making the Connection: Environmental Health in Wisconsin. The conference, sponsored by the Wisconsin Environmental Health Network and Physicians for Social Responsibility Wisconsin, will take place Friday and Saturday, Feb. 17 and 18 on the UW-Madison campus.
Highlights include talks about air pollution and cardiovascular disease, water in Wisconsin and human exposure to flame retardant chemicals, as well as interactive workshop sessions.
The conference is inviting submissions of abstracts for poster presentations from undergraduate, graduate and health professions students, faculty and community activists working in the fields of health care, environmental science and environmental education. Abstract submissions are due Monday, Jan. 23.
