Guilherme Rosa, a professor in the Department of Animal Sciences, has been selected to receive a Vilas Faculty Mid-Career Investigator Award. The award provides $100,000 in flexible research funds over two academic years.

Rosa’s research focuses on the interface between statistical/theoretical and molecular genetics and applications to animal models in both domestic and natural populations. He also teaches courses in animal breeding and statistical genetics.
