Amy Charkowski named American Phytopathological Society Fellow

The American Phytopathological Society has named plant pathology professor Amy Charkowski a 2016 APS Fellow. Fellows are recognized for their contributions to original research, teaching, administration, service and outreach.

Charkowski is an expert on soft rot bacteria, seed potato production and potato pathogen detection. She is respected for excellence in both basic and applied research, skilled administration of the Wisconsin Seed Potato Program, and leadership and service on campus and nationally.
