Nominations sought for Robert Rabson Award in area of bioenergy research

The American Society of Plant Biologists has issued a call for nominations for the Robert Rabson Award in the area of bioenergy research.

The Robert Rabson Award recognizes Bob Rabson’s steadfast advocacy of plant biology through creation of funding programs in the Department of Energy for research in basic energy sciences. The award recognizes postdocs and faculty-level early career scientists, whether or not members of the Society, in academic, government and corporate research institutions who have made excellent contributions in the area of bioenergy research. The committee defines early career as within five years of receipt of the PhD. The biennial award is a monetary award that also provides a one-year membership in the Society.

Society members can submit nominations online via the ASPB Awards & Funding System. Non-members are invited to join the society or to identify potential candidates to a current member.

Additional information is available in this nomination solicitation letter.
