Dominique Brossard receives Vilas Faculty Mid-Career Investigator Award

Dominique-Brossard-200x300Dominique Brossard, professor and chair of the life sciences communication department, was recently selected to receive a Vilas Faculty Mid-Career Investigator Award.

Brossard is an expert on science communication dynamics in new media environments and public opinion dynamics related to controversial scientific issues such as genetically engineered crops. She teaches courses in strategic communication theory and research with a focus on new media, science and risk communication.

The Vilas Faculty Mid-Career Investigator Award provides Brossard flexible research funds in the amount of $50,000 to be spent over two years for research, publication, project assistantships or other expenses related to scholarly activity.
