Susan Huber Miller joins CALS Office of Academic Affairs

Huber_Miller_Susan_150x188Susan Huber Miller will join CALS on September 14 to lead study abroad and international education programs for students, and will serve on the Academic Affairs leadership team for the college.

Huber Miller brings extensive experience working with domestic and international students and developing global programs at the UW-Madison, says Sarah Pfatteicher, CALS associate dean for academic affairs.

“Susan is an accomplished and respected leader of international academic programming, and also has experience in both agriculture and student services,” says Pfatteicher. “I am delighted that Susan will be joining the CALS team as we expand our international educational opportunities for CALS students.”

Huber Miller comes to CALS from her dual roles in the Wisconsin School of Business as Director of Global Applied Learning, and as Managing Director of the UW-Madison Center for International Business, Education, and Research (CIBER) where she has held a series of leadership positions over the past 17 years. Prior to that time Susan worked with international students and alumni at the Wisconsin Alumni Association.

“I’ve admired the work coming out of CALS for a long time and am thrilled to be joining the college! I look forward to working with CALS faculty, staff, and campus partners to grow the international academic options available to CALS students,” Huber Miller says.

Huber Miller holds a B.A. in International Relations and an M.S. in Higher Education Administration, both from UW-Madison.
