The 2015 Annual Meeting of the Association for Politics and the Life Sciences (APLS) will be held October 23-24, 2015, on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. The theme is “New Media, Polarized Politics, and the Life Sciences.”
The proposal deadline for paper presentations, panels and roundtable discussions has been extended to Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Topic areas can include: new directions in politics and the life sciences, biobehavior, life science policies (e.g., health policy, genetically modified foods, stem cell research), neurobiology and politics, bioethics, bioterrorism, environmental policy and communication (e.g., media coverage and public opinion about climate change), genetics and politics, biotechnology, and other biopolitical topics.
Two awards will be given out: Best Paper Award ($500) and Best Student Paper Award ($250).
