The Division of Continuing Studies and UW-Madison MOOCs would like to invite interested UW faculty, staff, students and community members to a special evening lecture by Steven Rinella, author and host of TV’s “MeatEater” program.
Rinella will be speaking at 5:30pm on Tuesday, April 14th at the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery Building in the Hector DeLuca Forum (330 N. Orchard Street). His talk is titled: “Meat Eater: Adventures from the Life of an American Hunter.” A meet and greet with the author and book signing will follow the talk.
Rinella will chronicle his lifelong relationship with nature and hunting through the lens of several hunts, beginning when he was an aspiring mountain man at age ten and ending as a forty-year-old father of three who hunts in the remotest corners of North America, feeding his family from the food he hunts. He will touch on themes of conservation, hunting and the importance of wildlife and wilderness.
Aspiring scientists, conservationists, writers and outdoor enthusiasts are encouraged to attend. This event is free and open to the public. Registration is encouraged at: http://go.wisc.edu/9uwtq5.This entry was posted in Events by carndt. Bookmark the permalink.
