Got a great science-related photo? UW’s 2015 Cool Science Images Contest invites entries

The Why Files 2015 UW-Madison Cool Science Images Contest is soliciting interesting, beautiful and meaningful science and science-related images from the University community. The winning photos can earn a valuable prize, a $100 gift card for Downtown Madison, and be published in “Cool Science Images” at http://whyfiles.org.

This contest is only open to the UW-Madison community. Faculty, staff and any currently enrolled UW-Madison student are eligible. Individuals or teams may enter. Images can depict an object or phenomenon from any discipline.

Images may be submitted in any medium, such as, but not limited to: microscopy, photography (astronomy, nature, etc.), animations and (short) videos, medical imaging, science-as-art schematics, photography of your own, 3D printing, etc.

Images will be judged on aesthetic and informational qualities.
