Starting this week, UW-Madison will be hosting a series of seminars on biodesign and biocatalysis as part of a faculty cluster hire search in these areas. The seminars provide a venue to meet the faculty candidates and to learn about new directions in these rapidly developing research areas.
The full list of speakers is available in this one page Biodesign_Biocatalysis_seminar_series poster.
The first talk features Kevin Solomon from UC-Santa Barbara on the topic “Teaching an old dog new tricks: (Re)engineering microbes as chemical factories and beyond.” The talk will take place on Jan. 22 at 1:00 p.m. in the Microbial Sciences Building’s Ebling Auditorium.Events by firstname.lastname@example.org.
