The home gardener’s nightmare

Late blight is the bummer of the summer. It’s a huge disappointment for gardeners when thriving tomato and potato plants suddenly grow ugly lesions and begin to wither, and you can only imagine what it means to people who depend on those  crops for a living. If your plants do become infected, do your neighbors a favor and yank them to minimize the chances of producing the spores that spread the disease, suggests UW-Madison plant pathologist in this podcast.
