The International Programs Office in the College of Agricultural & Life Sciences invites UW-Madison faculty and academic staff members to apply for travel awards of up to $2,000. Deadline: Friday, January 24. This program is supported by the Madison Initiative for Undergraduates, which aims to enhance the undergraduate experience at UW-Madison. Awards may be used for transportation, housing, meals, and some fees (e.g. conference registration). Awards may not be used to purchase equipment (e.g. laptops or tools). Funds must be spent before June 30, 2014.
USDA seeks research teams for US-China Scientific Exchange. Deadline: Tuesday, January 28. USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) seeks agriculture related science and technology research teams to travel to the People’s Republic of China (PRC) to participate in the U.S.-China Scientific Cooperation Exchange Program (SCEP). The Program offers opportunities to engage diverse agricultural stakeholders in China with the common goal of furthering U.S. and Chinese agriculture through collaborative research, trade, and investment. This is accomplished by facilitating 14-day visits to China that foster mutually beneficial exchanges of research and technology.
Grants in biomedical/bioengineering Abroad. The Whitaker International Program is a competitive grant that sends emerging leaders in biomedical engineering (or bioengineering) overseas to increase international collaboration in the field. Whitaker International Program grants are awarded based on an activity/project proposal that is relevant to biomedical engineering. Deadlines are as follows:
