CALS alumnus does conservation research for Microsoft

Lucas Joppa

Lucas Joppa, who received a BS degree in wildlife ecology from CALS in 2004, has a very interesting job. As a part of Microsoft’s Computational Ecology and Environmental Science research group, he develops technologies, programs and models to aid conservation efforts.

He was recently featured in this Microsoft Research profile piece, which includes an extended video interview in which Joppa discusses his career.
