Paul Abel, a 2013 recipient of the Classified Employee Recognition Award is an animal research technician at the Marshfield Agricultural Research Station.
Paul has been with the Marshfield ARS for approximately 15 years. His dedication to high standards of quality, ability to adapt to change and his enthusiasm for training new employees and students have earned him the advanced level position of PM herdsman and respect among colleagues.
With the recent expansion of the research station, Paul has proven to be a reliable problem solver and has been instrumental in managing the acquisition of 128 lactating cows and an increase of over 200 replacement heifers.
Paul is known to be a resource, a mentor and an integral member of the team.
