Happy anniversary to UW-Madison’s Department of Urban and Regional Planning. URPL is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year with a celebration event this Saturday, April 27, at the Pyle Center. We hope that you’ll join us!
- Saturday, April 27, 2013:
- 1:00-5:00pm — Symposium on URPL’s history and contemporary planning
- 5:00-6:30pm — Social hour
- 6:30pm — Dinner and commentary
URPL has both MS and PhD programs, within both CALS and L&S, and includes multiple faculty with integrated UW-Extension appointments. Since officially organizing as a department in the 1962-63 academic year, URPL has generated significant impacts on planning research, teaching, and service, and produced more than 1,250 MS and/or PhD graduates! We hope this milestone serves to recognize an outstanding history of accomplishment, reinforce connections between students, alumni, community partners, and colleagues; and generate continuing momentum for the Department’s mission of applied planning education and research. Please join us!
