As part of the university’s Year of Innovation, WARF is hosting a event titled “Academic freedom and innovation: A changing relationship?” on April 11. The event includes presentations by UW–Madison experts and guest scholars from Stanford, Vanderbilt and New York University who will discuss the changing relationship between traditional notions of academic freedom and emerging trends in higher education, globalization, research and technology. Following the presentations, participants will be served dinner and dessert as they listen to a panel discussion and dinner program.
