A trial plan to allow parking on Henry Mall has been deemed a success. “We can fit at least 50 cars on the green space, and we can probably fit another 30–40 along the terrace without damaging the trees,” according to an announcement from Facilities Planning and Management. FP&M says that parking will not damage the grass: The mall’s surface was reconstructed following completion of the biochemistry construction project so that the turf can be rolled up for storage — a feature designed to facilitate digging up the mall during future construction events.
