CALS Dean Kate VandenBosch will be the featured speaker at this week’s Wednesday Nite @ the Lab, set for March 27 from 7 – 8:15 pm in room 1111 of the Genetics/Biotech Building, located at 425 Henry Mall.
Here’s the WN@TL website’s description of her talk, titled “Growing the Future: Strategic Planning in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences”: Kathryn VandenBosch, plant geneticist and the new dean of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS), will give us a look at what’s on the horizon for the university’s land-grant college. Wisconsin’s land and water are resources for food and fuels and fibers –the stuff of our lives and, for many of us, our livelihoods. For over a century, researchers at CALS have pioneered ways to steward those resources in response to the changing needs and aspirations of Wisconsinites. Let’s see what’s coming for the decades ahead.
