UW resources for complying with NIH public access policy – Presentation Tues. Mar. 12
Please join us on Tuesday, March 12 for a presentation on NIH Public Access Policy by Julie Schneider, Director of the Ebling Library.
UW Resources for Complying with NIH Public Access Policy
Date: Tues, March 12, 1:00-2:30pm
Location: Biotechnology Center Auditorium (Rm 1111), 425 Henry Mall
Designed specifically for CALS PIs, research staff, and administrators, this presentation will provide information on pertinent aspects of the NIH Public Access Policy and discuss services and resources available to assist PIs in complying with the policy.
Beginning July 1, 2013, NIH will require full compliance with their public access policy; non-compliance will result in withholding of pending award notices (http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-13-042.html). We encourage anyone who may be affected by this policy change to attend and learn how to avoid delays in issuance of funding.
During the same session, Sarah Marcotte and Becky Bound from the CALS Research Division PreAward Team will discuss the recent NIH announcement that RPPR (Research Performance Progress Report) will be the mandatory submission format for all fellowship and research (SNAP) progress reports as of March 1, 2013 (i.e., for any awards that will be issued July 1 or after).
Sarah and Becky will provide a summary of important information about this transition and helpful resources for preparing reports using the new format.
