4/21 Annual CRIS Progress/Final Reports Due- January 4, 2013
TO: Faculty and Staff
FROM: Casey Hillmer
RE: WAES 2012 Research Project Reports
DEADLINE: Friday, January 4, 2013
Again this year we are requesting that you submit calendar year 2012 Experiment Station Project progress and termination reports to the Current Research Information System (CRIS) using CRIS Web Forms. CRIS is a USDA reporting mechanism used to document the progress of current Hatch, Hatch Multistate, McIntire-Stennis, Animal Health or USDA grants. The due date is for all listed above, except a USDA grant. Their due date falls on the anniversary start date. Please check the CRIS site to make sure you are not over due on a USDA grant progress report, if you do not have a current Hatch, Hatch Multistate, McIntire-Stennis or Animal Health grant.
**Please include in your reports specific statements about the broader agricultural- environmental-, economic- or health-related value of your research, and who is affected by it.
As a recipient of Hatch, Hatch Multistate, McIntire-Stennis, and Animal Health (Formula Grant) funds, it is extremely important for you to comply by the January 4th deadline. If we are not compliant in meeting this deadline, we risk losing future Formula Grant funds.

If you do not have access to a computer web browser, you can submit the reports with the assistance of your department office staff. If you have questions or need assistance, please call Casey at 2-2397 or send an e-mail message to clhillmer@cals.wisc.edu.
The deadline for submitting 2012 CRIS reports is Friday, January 4, 2013.
Each year we have difficulty getting these reports submitted on time. Please be aware that if the report(s) is/are not completed by Friday, January 18, 2013, we will not process any gift, grant, contract, etc. materials for you until the report(s) has/have been completed. It is important for CALS as recipients of Formula Funds to comply with this request.
*** If you are interested, Casey Hillmer is available to meet with you to demonstrate how to navigate through the CRIS system and to answer any questions you may have related to the CRIS forms. Please contact her at 262-2397 or clhillmer@cals.wisc.edu to set up a time.
