The conference and workshop season is starting, and once again the Wisconsin SARE Program will offer scholarships to agricultural educators for professional development in sustainable agriculture. The conferences and workshops for which we offer support include:
The Midwest Value-Added Conference next week, Dec. 12-13th in La Crosse. http://www.rivercountryrcd.org/valad.html
The Wisconsin Grazing Conference, January 17-19th in Wausau. http://grassworks.org
The Wisconsin School for Beginning Market Growers, January 18-20th in Madison. See below for details.
The Midwest CSA Conference: Taking Stock, January 10-11th, Eau Claire. http://www.wisconsinfarmersunion.com/farmers_union_events.phtml
Organic University, February 21st, and the Organic Farming Conference, February 22nd – 23rd, La Crosse. http://www.mosesorganic.org/conference.html
If you are interested in applying for a SARE scholarship, fill out the application form at http://www.uwex.edu/ces/sustag/scholarships/ and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org . Please note these scholarships are only for agricultural educators. By all means let farmers know about these excellent conferences and workshops, but our SARE funding only allows us to provide scholarships to educators.
