Have you always wanted to bid on great prizes that you can actually use? You can, with CALS Student Association’s annual silent auction! Items up for auction include training in how to backpack through Europe, an authentic Mexican bark-cloth painting, delicious home-baked treats, hand-crafted jewelry, a tour of Bucky’s Butchery complete with sausage that you help to make, and much more! Local businesses and restaurants such as Ian’s Pizza, the University bookstore, Tutto Pasta and the Babcock Hall Dairy store have generously donated gift cards and merchandise just for you!
Visit sc.cals.wisc.edu/silentauction to start bidding on Sunday, April 15th during CALS week. Bids will be accepted until 11:59pm on Friday, April 20th.
All proceeds help CALS Student Association (CALSSA) to engage the University and local communities. We host community events such as CALS Day for Kids, where we bring hundreds of local area elementary school kids to campus and teach them about the scientific technologies and agricultural traditions of Wisconsin. In addition to outreach within the Madison area community, CALSSA fosters leadership in the UW community through an annual leadership retreat. Furthermore, CALSSA provides excellent networking opportunities for students by acting as a liaison between current students and alumni. This outlet gives undergraduates a voice in the development of new curricula and power over their own education.
