CALS Undergraduate Programs and Services has hired Dan Barnish and Molly Reinhard as advisors for its brand-new Transitional Advising Service. TAS will be a resource in providing information and academic advising to students and other interested parties relating to programs administered in CALS, with particular interest in helping students make successful transitions to or within the CALS community. The program is funded through the Madison Initiative for Undergraduates.
Barnish has been undergraduate advisor for the biochemistry major since 2001. He earned his B.A. and M.S. from UW-Madison. Reinhard comes to CALS from the College of Engineering, where she serves as assistant director of pre-college programs in the Diversity Affairs Office. She earned her B.A. from UW-Madison and has worked on campus since 2007.
