Summer Research Program in Food Safety
March 1 is the deadline for UW-Madison students earning a B.S. to apply for a spot in the Food Research Institute’s Summer Research Program in Food Safety.
Dates: Late May/early June through July 2012
Applications Due: March 1, 2012
Number of Students: Up to 10
Stipend: $4,000
Research Project: Each student works full time in the research laboratory of a mentor to work on a project related to food safety
Weekly Tutorial: Students will participate in a tutorial session in which they learn and discuss timely issues with one or more speakers from campus or the food industry
Field Trips: Students also will take at least one field trip to Wisconsin food production facilities

- A resume
- An unofficial transcript
- A letter from a proposed mentor agreeing to support the project in the lab
