What do do with outdated software CDs

From DoIT Tech News…

What to do with that old software?
When spring comes, you can hang those useless, outdated software CDs in the garden to keep out the varmints. Or you can dispose of them in a more orderly way.

The State Records Center in the Wisconsin Department of Administration will pick up media such as CDs and shred it for you at no charge. To arrange for a pick-up, contact the Records Center at 608-266-2995 or 266-8815. Make sure that the box to be picked up contains only media and that you label the box accordingly, so the Records Center knows that it does not contain paper.

The Records Center will also pick up and shred paper documents. Ask them about it.
