CALS students learn about leadership

During the weekend of January 14—16, a group of CALS students traveled to Camp Waubeek for the annual CALS Leadership Retreat. At the retreat, students learned about leadership styles and their own leadership strengths. They also developed projects to bring back to campus. Each year, a few of the projects developed at the retreat are implemented in the college.

The 2011 retreat was made possible by a generous donation from the Wisconsin Agricultural and Life Sciences Alumni Association (WALSAA).

The CALS Student Council planned and organized this event. Karen Schlichter, Jared Wendt, and Ron Crandall in particular contributed their time and energy to make the retreat a success.
