Administrative Process Redesign forum – Oct. 13

The UW-Madison community is invited to attend the next Administrative Process Redesign (APR) Campus Forum, set for:

Wednesday, October 13
2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Lowell Hall Dining Room

Join the process redesign teams as they discuss the progress of their redesign projects and share their findings with campus. APR is in its fourth year and now offers support for process improvement both across campus units and within divisions.

Four APR teams working to improve the university’s research and grant administration process will be presenting their solutions at the forum. Areas of focus include increasing researchers’ access to their financial data; reducing the number of cost transfers and increasing the speed of those which remain; and closing a greater percentage of awards on time. Several other redesign teams will also be present to discuss their projects including units working on internal process improvement within the Vice Chancellor for Administration (VCA) area.

All university staff are invited and may attend without loss of pay. Staff should make arrangements with their supervisors before attending. No registration is required. This campus forum will also be video streamed and viewable from the APR website at using Internet Explorer and Windows media player.

Lowell Hall is located at 610 Langdon Street. The Route 85 campus bus stops in front of the Pyle Center located just a block west of Lowell Hall. The Route 80 campus bus stops at the Memorial Union just a few blocks west of Lowell Hall.

One of the three goals of APR is to engage the campus in an inclusive and transparent project so that all stakeholders are involved. Campus forums are a sign of our continued commitment to achieving this goal.
