CALS seeks outreach projects that help underserved populations, have service learning component

CALS Undergraduate Programs and Services and the CALS Communication Program are in the process of putting together a catalog of CALS outreach and service programs that help underserved populations and that have–or could have–a student service learning component.

If this applies to a project you are working on, please send the following information to Tom Browne at before the end of the month:

  • A brief description of the project or projects that you are engaged in, including location and targeted population
  • How UW-Madison students have been or can be involved
  • Evidence–anecdotal or statistical–of the impact on those involved

Once compiled, this inventory will have a number of important uses. It will help the CALS Communication Program share stories about the benefits these projects bring to the communities and students involved. It will also help the CALS faculty and staff who work on these kinds of projects connect with each other, and make it easier for others to ask questions and get involved.
