Lunch lecture on microbes, public health issues facing Madison’s lakes – Aug. 20
Jon Standridge, retired water microbiology supervisor at the Wisconsin State Lab of Hygiene, will give a brown bag talk about the microbiological public health issues facing Madison’s Yahara Lakes on Friday, Aug. 20 from 12 – 1 p.m in the State Laboratory of Hygiene building, 465 Henry Mall.
Jon grew up in Madison and brings a lifetime of scientific knowledge and passion to this subject. In addition to his 30+ years at the State Lab, Jon is the former president of the Madison Water Utility Board of Commissioners and former chair of the Madison Commission on the Environment. He is actively involved in public and private-sector environmental consulting work.
