Kent Weigel, Ric Grummer, Fernanda Lopes and Julio Giordano receive ADSA honors
Four members of the Department of Dairy Science — Kent Weigel, Ric Grummer, Fernanda Lopes and Julio Giordano — received recognition at the recent annual meeting of the American Association of Dairy Sciences.
- Grummer received the ADSA Fellow Award, recognizing distinguished service and made exceptional contributions to the dairy industry or a dairy-related discipline.
- Weigel was the 2010 recipient of the J. L. Lush Award in Animal Breeding, which recognizes outstanding research in animal breeding.
- Giordano received first place in the Land O’Lakes, Purina Feed LLC Graduate Student Poster Contest – PhD Division.
- Lopes received third place in the Land O’Lakes, Purina Feed LLC Graduate Student Poster Contest – MS Division.
