A news release announcing his appointment is attached below.
We will conduct a international search for a new dean of the School of Business, and I am pleased to announce that Vice Dean Joan Schmit will serve as interim dean. Mike will assume leadership of the foundation on Oct. 16. At that time, he will step into an organization that has excelled under Andrew “Sandy” Wilcox, one that is admired nationally for its success. We owe Sandy, who has served in his post since 1988, a great debt of gratitude for his wise leadership, his careful stewardship and his extraordinary dedication to this university.
